Lessons for students 5 years of age and up, beginners through advanced * A stimulating, thorough, graduated course in piano includes theory, technique, scales, arpeggios, chords, lesson, and repertoire * Participation in local and state music association activities festivals, recitals, composition, ensembles, and theory * 45 minute private lessons, with one group lesson, typically each month Monthly group lesson consists of playing two, three, four part ensembles on two pianos, work on theory test ear training, and students performing for each other * A grand piano and digital piano * Two recitals each year, winter and spring Other recitals available to students are offered through the Plano Music Teachers Association including halloween, all boy, pop and jazz, high school * Emphasis on music theory Prepares students for state theory test at school grade level that can qualify for state theory medals |
